The program may still interfere with other programs, especially your antivirus program in your computer. Click on the Start menu and type 'services.msc' (without quotes) in the Start Search menu. Hit Enter to proceed. When in the Services window, locate Windows Defender, right click on it and select Properties. Highlight the General tab (if it not highlighted by default). Click on the drop-down arrow next to Startup type and change the status to Disabled. Hit the Apply button and then OK to close the Properties window.



Additional Tips:



You might be prompted to enter an admin password, enter it to proceed. Failing to which, you will not be able to make such changes. Remember, Windows Defender cannot be removed if it came preinstalled in your Windows computer. It can only be disabled.
